  • If you weren't selling another language teaching product your message may sound more sincere, I also noticed that you didn't speak any Portuguese. You must have learn at least a word or two in 8 lessons......

  • @btlfn723 well, how do you suggest i go about doing it differently?

  • why are you learning portuguese?

  • @TheMossad921 it's a beautiful language, and i have a lot of south american friends...my spanish is good, i just want to round it out to portuguese..expeand my repertoire

  • Ich habe Rosetta Stone gemacht. Jetzt Kann ich Deutsch sprechen.

  • @psgw1234 congrats... you can say "i speak german"... and "i have" in german

  • @JOSEDIEGO0569 Your mind is still very malleable at 15. We poor old people have a very difficult time learning a language.

  • @TinsleyCarmichael It's not bad. He's using the past participle. He's using the proper verb placement after the adverb. He's capitalizing the verb Kann for some inexplicable reason, though. And you have a point about stock phrases :)

  • @TinsleyCarmichael I've read that you shouldn't learn languages that are very similar. There's too much possibility of getting that confused.

  • i think rossettastone is great i use it and i know a heck of a lot more spanish than anybody who takes classes it seems but thats just my opinion of it

  • @9grlfriday Yes, you can learn to speak it with Pimsleur, but, as far as I know with my experience with it, they have no text. That's not exactly helpful when trying to learn a language properly. Personally, I prefer to be able to read, write, and speak the language instead of just one. That would be like giving me the text, and not showing me how to pronounce it. Yes, I can write it, and know what it means, but it does me no good.

  • I use Pimsleur and Rosetta Stone. One thing that I ABSOLUTELY HATE ABOUT PIMSLEUR is that, at least with the Russian, there's no text to it. What if I go to the country and need to know how to read or write something? Knowing how to pronounce it won't help with the Cyrillic alphabet that the Russians, and many other countries, use.
