After a day of learning, experiencing, playing, and some basic training, our little trooper was found knocked out asleep in the dog area at the window...just loving life. Today is the 1 week anniversary since is rescue from death. :) (Pillows beat fire ants & abandonment, I think)

  • @Germania72 Rescued dogs are the best. That's great they were able to save the leg!

  • @weblogofweeds Unfortunately, in my country (Chile), some heartless people leave dogs on the side of the road to be crashed by a car. So that's why I was asking. I was guessing it was something like that. He looks like a very sweet dog. Our house dog was crashed by a car in front of our house (he wasn't our pet at that moment, he was a stray dog) and he dragged it to our doorstep and well, luckily, the vet could save his hind leg...and he's been our pet ever since.

  • @Germania72 We found him on the side of the road-- his leg was broken in a few places and the bones had grown back disfigured. His leg was totally useless, he just dragged it along. All the tissue was dead.

  • Why did you have to amputate his leg?
