The Biography of
Marlon C. Blair---

Marlon Clifford Blair was born in Detroit, Michigan, December 3, 1971. One of nine children, Marlon found ways to keep himself busy. He developed a love of music at an early age. As a young man in 1992 he wrote, composed and produced Its About That Time, a song that inspired the Urban African American community to stop the black on black crime. The song received radio airplay in the city of Detroit. His growing passion for music would later take him to Sacramento, CA in 1996. He began networking with other potential artists and sought to make connections that would catapult his career. He was unaware of how his life was going to change. While attending a church service he was approached by the pastor and was asked if he would be interested in television production. The pastor of that church saw a gift in him and offered to send Marlon to a class on basic camera operation at Access Sacramento Broadcasting. As an ambitious camera operator, in 1996 he produced his first televised program Gems From Heaven, which was well received in the greater Sacramento area. In the same year he married Catrina Renee Blair and had two children, Deja Renee Blair and Marlon Clifford Blair Jr. Marlon continued his education at Access Sacramento Broadcasting taking courses in broadcast lighting, videotape editing, studio directing and producing. In 1997 he wrote, produced and directed Words To Live By, which received and award for longest running motivational program. He also produced and directed Sacramento Feedback, a program that covered politics from a Christian perspective and At The Right Hand, a program that educated viewers on the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, taught by the Dean of Faith Alive Bible College. While Marlon continued producing and directing studio programs, he also found a creative style for camera work in the field. His phenomenal graphics and ability to bring life to a simple video recording has made him a highly sought after videographer, recording various events ranging from large wedding events to real estate commercials. In 2006 he recorded and edited a high profile funeral. The family was impressed with Marlons unique gift of being able to brighten such a sad occasion with his editing techniques. At the present time, Marlon is President and Chairman of a thriving company, Visionary Productions Incorporated/ Marlon Blair Productions. His vision and future goals are to become Sacramentos largest production and film company. Because of his passion to educate, his goal is to build a training facility where high school students can create projects using state of the art video and editing equipment while having access to a production studio, recording studio, editing bays, and photography bays. Marlon Blair continues to live in Sacramento and plans to expand his business in the near future.
