I own an Xbox 360 but I just bought a PS3 earlier to play this game.

The gameplay is a lot of fun as it basically is the time unit system found in X-COM that the people who developed X-COM wish they could have made. The only thing that bugs me about the game is the forced challenge mode on every level even when it's the players first play through of the game. =/

I skip every cut scene, I have no idea what the story is and I still enjoy it. It might of took a couple of chapters to get good thou.

Along with MGS4 and Ninja Gaiden: Sigma, I bought this game when I bought my ps3 a year ago. For some reason, I love this game. I don't have a psp, but sometime I'll buy one to get to the sequels as well as some other titles. I'm a huge fan of Sega. I grew up with the Genesis and I've been a fan since, not a fanboy. I might get the anime series Valkyria Chronicles as well.
