@ProLepanto Hear, hear!

@feindhortmit Well we can't have the British being portrayed as competent in the very activities they are now demonized for committing... because that would be approaching logic, and as we know, logic is the only thing that should be eschewed more than historical accuracy; lest liberalism itself come in to question.

frankly i think the original movie and book are better

@Joakinsmat why cant you ppl read the description? its a different battle.
-
god I hate the bloody idiots who made this film
-
It's because this movie has nothing to do with a battle. The battle is a prop used to advance the story. A British victory does not advance the story arch.

@Attila709 Was not expecting him to lose his cool, since the square was still strong when he ordered the retreat. But he was the only upper leader left. I would had runned to each side & yelled a fire at will. Later in the movie he does say he believed more men where lost in that retreat than in the battle to the main character.

What are the orders??? Fire you fuckheads!

@supersmash43 I know.

@1Historygenius well that didn't happen in the movie.
This is revisionist liberal shit. The British army won at El Gubat. Love or hate the Empire the truth should always be told.

7:44-7:51 is utilitarianism at its finest in warfare. Sacrifice a few of your own soldiers for the good of the overwhelming number of your other soldiers. Deliberate fire on two or three of your own troops to save the other couple of hundred or thousands of troops! Utilitarianism ftw!
