@FuryOfTheSwarm Nissa does not mean women. This is a mistranslation that is comiong down from centuries so people blindly believe in it. Rijaal are those people (men or women) who have authority/capacity and Nissa or those people (men or women) who are dependent upon Rijaal. Verse says to talk first, disattach (leave nissa in their place of rest..not bed) and if this deosnt work, walk away (Darabaa) which is mistranslated as "To Beat".

@Wanda7771 Most of what is called as "islamic history" is nothing but myths written by shady clerics long after Mohammad's death. The Quran does not contain any such fancy myths and even Quran's translations are mostly inspired by hadith books (written 250 yrs after Muhammad's death). As a researcher who have studied Quran and Bible indepth, most of what we know of Muhammad is nothing but conjecture.
