Me and Rhett drove up right as it went off. This siren is at Ross Terrace and Frontier Terrace in Mustang, Oklahoma.

  • @ironike11 what is the Doppler effect? I am assuming it is like when a car horn goes by and gets lower pitched as it passes?

  • @dillonrockband Exactly. I think when you stop, the pitch got lower sounding to, but it's really when you pass something.

  • @ironike11 Ahhhh NOW i see, I've been wondering about that for awhile. On the way to this siren, we passed a Whelen vortex that was going off and the tone dropped a whole note. Thanks for the info!

    but @ 0:31-0:33 AND

    0:46-0:48

    Why is there a humming sound?

  • that siren is about 12 years old i live by that one and most of the older ones have been replaced by the whelen
