@TKEYLER Thanks! All you would use is a black thread, black dubbing (or foam), and a black hackle. You could also use a grizzly hackle... Thanks for the comment. :)

@gacrappiebreamguy Thanks! You can use some head cement on the head if you want. But normally my flies get hashed from catching fish before they fall apart. :)

This is the best online video I have seen showing a pattern start to finish that I have seen since starting fly tying. Great beginner level explinations of what you are doing. Thanks a bunch. I expect to have a dozen black ants tied by lunchtime.
