I have similar setup!
-
Probably you are better off the glass beneath the sub,
-
How does the remote connect to the Mac Mini is it IR ?
-
tip: you should place the sub on the floor, not on the shelf, and keep your speakers at ear level...
Awesome set up tho :)

@that1guyoverthr I have a good ratio on some sites, email me your contact to eoghanhennessy@me.com and i will reply with screen shots?

i have a setup similar to this but my hardware is more up to date. however i don't have the remote buddy and the harmony remote. i'm using a keyboard and mouse to switch between apps. The remote would make things a bit more easier.

I have a question for you.
I have the same set up that you did, mac mini, 46" Sharp LCD television, PS3 and a Yamaha receiver. My question is with the mac mini as you media server do you think I still need BOXXEE?

@gadgetboy1234 that would be great.

@RARELYSERIOUSB I will do one soon if you want.
what format are your movies
geebones 1 year ago
@geebones For the most part .mkv files. H.264 video codec for video. ACC DTS for audio. Anywhere between 4.5 to 10gb a piece.

@geebones Some TV shows.. Chappelle Show, The office, ATHF... Most of my TV I catch on Hulu or Netflix. The movies I have are downloaded in HD - Better than DVD. :)
