Anyone ever consider replacing the belt and pulleys with a chain and sprockets to permanently avoid this routine?

If you go to Walmart or a grocery store they have a lot of belts that size with the vacuum cleaners.

Thanks.

Hey LaDigger. We lost a belt the same day. My tumbler belt broke yesterday as well. That is crazy. I gotta buy me a couple. I need to find a place to buy them from. Found a place on ebay. Selling 5 for like 6 bucks. I tam gonna go and see if I can find one at my local hardware store.

That o-ring looks about the right size as the water pump o ring that is used as a gasket on the Ford 4.6 modular engine found in Crown Vics, Mustangs and T-birds. I don't have one of these tumblers to verify this though, but it's a thought :)

Actually it was an old oring off of a transmission oil filter on a Bell 407 helicopter. The oring didnt last so I got a tip to use a dirt devil vacuum cleaner belt. That worked after I trimmed it to fit, its tough and durable, I think it s a Dirt Devil belt # 15. The flat orings on a ph8 auto oil filter looks a lot like the belt that comes with the tumbler, but its not made to turn like that, it would break fast too. HH

does the tumbler hurt the dates on the coins?

Doesn't seem to hurt clad, don't put any good coins you want to keep in there. Only clad for return to circulation.

I bought my tumbler with clad. Roll some clad and take it to the bank or run it through a coin star and get a money order and send it in. Good Luck Yulelah, LaDigger
