It takes less than 10 seconds to rout a four-faced tenon. This jig is precise and safe. I have yet to see a process produce tenons as pretty, as exact, and as easy as the ones you'll be making with this jig. You can see how to make this jig at http://www.provenwoodworking.com/tenon-jig.html

I hope you have fun building the Tenon Jig!

    Best, Jim

  • Good jig, but the tenon seems a to be to thick.

  • Hi ninjamans101,

    Thanks for viewing my video.

The tenon's thickness is perfect for the job in this video.

With this jigs, you can make the tenon any thickness that you want.

    Hope this helps!

    Best, Jim

  • It seems fitting that Tenyon, rhimes with moryon! Great product all the same.

  • great stuffs you have there...

  • @ragnar704

Some folk say 'tenant' because it 'resides' in the mortice! But maybe that's incorrect 'cos it doesn't pay rent., and it should be there forever! :)

  • let me nitpick even more by saying that English is a highly regional and dialectal language, so he can pronounce Tenon any way he pleases! Please don't take offense, just havin some fun!

But hey, it's a nice jig!

  • It's by far the best jig I seen to make tenons, mine is almost finished. Simply the best.

  • Thanks for posting -- a great idea for accurately making tenons with inexpensive tools.

Let me nitpick a little by saying the proper pronunciation is "tenon", not "tenyon".
