After a less-than-2-mile hike from the Bold Coast trailhead on Route 191 in Cutler, Maine, you reach this outcropping. About 17 miles from East Machias, Maine.

  • wow man. i have that book and i thought the exact same thing when i was younger. cant wait to move to the real deal.

  • i live like exactly 5 minutes away from Bold Coast. Nice trail. But western head is a better trail across the harbour

  • beautiful . . . Ive wanted to move to a coastal town in Maine for a LONG time now, even though im only 18. I grew up with the I Spy: Treasure Hunt book and one of the pictures is of a small quaint coastal town with mountains, a lighthouse, and a beautiful coastal veiw and it has become my dream town.

  • Ha! I remember camping there 2 yrs ago in the ferry head point section! Fog horns and big tides= a groggy sleepless night!

  • I was here this summer! It's beautiful. We were there when it was really foggy, so it's great to see it in the sunlight. There are pictures of my visit there in the video response I will post.
