If the game doesn't come out by 2013 they may just be waiting to release it on Sony's new Playstation which is said to drop sometime next year

id love to play it if it has a good story line. the story and characters in the getaway 1 puts it above gta for me personalty even though i guess the game play is a bit limited but the fact that its based on a real place made it really interesting. when that game came out i remember being in awe at playing a game with such a huge environment! great fun :) now in this day and age i bet they could make it look really detailed!

@orlandocolom , not cancelled, just put on hold, don't believe what the media says or even the developers say, because you can't cancel a game trailer like this, they have already release a piccadilly video and people already harressing them to have this made, it will be made, just not now.

So what's the story on this, are they going to based the story of the game of guy from amsterdam that escapes to london or something, or are they going to do two versions of the Getaway game, or is it going to be one of those PS3 Home like things, where there be a network for every country or something, just want to know if anyone has more info on this.

The Getaway 3 would be a great idea for a game at the moment, Think about it, the recession recovering, the Olympics, the riots, wreckless celebrities, increase in unemployment, etc.
Could be a really impressive game.
