the smoke from the engine bay is due to the catch can set up. Im not trying to be a smart ass, but if you would know of high performance cars, you would know they perty much all have them to prevent from oil build up in the intake pipes/manifold. there for its best to make or buy a catch can set up. im a tig welder by profession so i built mine for my car. hope this helps clear things up
