In May 2009, Conservative MP Ed Holder announced an infusion of federal funds into YOUTH OPPORTUNITIES UNLIMITED. The program in Holders London, Ont. riding is designed to help young people develop leadership skills for the future. The money was allocated to the Transition, Career and Enterprise Services, which provides job skills, supports and referrals to 62 young people. One year later, a group is graduating from the program. On the Bright Side takes a look at why Holders support is essential to secure guaranteed funding for a job skills program that doesnt fit inside the typical funding box.
