  • Thank you for putting this back on youtube. The way HE sings it, cuts me way down through my soul; and uncoveres all the heartbreak I had in my life, and also confronts me with the woman I've been sometimes. The knife cuts both sides. Makes me sad that Jeff B. couln't face life anymore...

  • his voice makes me shiver. his the only guy who's tearing my heart

  • @11ingkey Jeff didn't kill himself. He hated the romantic idea of dying young.

  • @ericlord821 thanx for completing the story of 20centjes. I learned a lot about myself..like jumping to conclusions based on my feelings without knowing the facts ;-) !

  • @20centjes thanx for giving me the facts of his death. Like I said...it was a just feeling and I dramatized it. Still it's a great loss...what he did in his music and with his his voice was and is amazing!

  • To make it clear, Jeff died of an accidental drowning after he went for a swim. He was found a few days later near Beal Street in Memphis, where he was recording his second album title Sketches For My Sweetheart the Drunk. There has been talk about whether or not he swam with the intention of taking his own life. Out of respect for Jeff and his family, I truly believe it was an accidental drowning. Jeff had everything going for him at the time despite the pressure that he was under.

  • @20centjes You are right; I don't know what killed him; maybe it's a feeling that he took his own life...in a way..how did he die?
