@DrKr0wbar my point being they were in development at the same time but got released at different times, much like the platformer era one could easily say sonic was a rip off of mario even though they played completely differently. They were not ripping off anything in that they were both released to keep up with the "first person survival horror" genre
@328805 This is out of context in all regards, seeing how Killing Floor was released and made into a full game far before the release of Left 4 Dead. Regardless of it's pre - alpha stage it's still nothing in comparison to Killing Floor.
@DrKr0wbar The Killing Floor demo was realeased in 2005, the same year Turtlerock Studios started production on Left 4 Dead. The project was then picked up by Valve which is notorious for late releases and the game was polished the crap out of and eventually became the campaign based zombie shooter it is today. The more you know!
@8BitFox You do realize this game was made far before L4D, right? Killing Floor was originally a mod for Unreal Tournament 2004, which came out in 2004. L4D is basically a dumbed down rip off of Killing Floor in that respect.
