Charlie Brown's AllStars from 1966 and an advertising plug for Coca Cola and Dolly Madison. P.S. Someone gave me this in a compilation.

  • @gymnastix I refer to the person who provided the footage to spetragl as spetragl does have actual videos uploaded to his or her YouTube channel.

Also you have to consider when the video was made. The compilation was given to spetragl in 08. The price of DVD recorders are more affordable now.

All that said, if we can track down the person with this rare footage, I'd be HAPPY to walk him or her through correctly uploading a video to YouTube.

  • @gymnastix Not sure what his financial situation is, but if he can afford one, then he probably would have to learn how to use it. And that includes knowing which DVD format to use for your specific player (DVD+R, DVD-R, or both...DVD+RW, DVD-RW), what recording "speed" to use (SP, LP, SLP) for best quality, finalizing.

It took me about 4 days to learn all that with my first recorder (plus figuring out the timer). It probably took him about as long to figure out his digital camera.

  • @spetragl Correction... it is actually called "Charlie Brown's All Stars" by VInce Guaraldi :)

  • @thememorylanechannel Maybe one of the programs that rip lossless is dvd copy programs. I usually rip dvds in lossless quality.

  • @fatbuddy719 The song is called "Charlie's Run" played by Vince Guaraldi.

  • @gymnastix Whether you rip it from a DVD copy or use a USB capturing device, yes.

  • @thememorylanechannel While I don't upload video to You Tube myself, I am assuming that having the desired content on a DVD is sufficient to do such. Woulld that be correct?

  • @thememorylanechannel Thank you. I hadn't considered that it might be as simple an explanation as that.

But I am presuming the source of this particular video (because this TV special hasn't been broadcast in many years) is a VHS tape, and there are fairly inexpensive VHS-to-DVD recorders that would solve this problem for most of these situations.

  • @gymnastix People like this just don't have the necessary hardware to directly capture from an analog source.
