Idinda Shallow Well Celebration

Community members of Idinda gather to celebrate as the District Water Office officially hands over their new shallow well. They worked extremely hard and finished the well in just over 2 weeks. You can see the finished product behind the musicians. The man sitting directly to my left is Patrick, a JIDDECO volunteer. The man directly to my right is the water engineer, Herbert, who helps us on all of the shallow wells. Other attendees included sub-county and district officials. The true VIPs are the people sitting in the front who actually worked to dig the well by hand. Apologies for my poor cinematography skills...and the blurry picture.
