@anna0karina Exactly, he is one of the few, if not the only male artist who reached this deep level of understanding the female psyche.

No one else has quite the pure loveliness of this woman... she simply redefines the concept. Mesmerizingly beautiful, utterly disarming charm...

@xwillnotbetelevisedx She ceases blinking entirely for the last two minutes of the monologue. Her eyes get more and more red. Very individual shot, too. Totally natural but fully intense. I suppose other people must also feel the same way i do about bergman but... just indescribable

Incredible acting... and her eyes are so mesmerizing, amazing blue! Liv Ullmann is the greatest actress of all-time.

Filmmaking and acting at its best... just great.

I feel such great appreciation and admiration for Bergman's deep understanding of women. No one writes the way he did for them. Even without dialogue he was able to capture every single complex layer of the female psyche frame by frame. Through his lens he exposed the hidden secrets of women. The dark, "ugly" side. The daily struggles and
obstacles. Very honest, real, and relatable. Which in the end is a very beautiful thing.
