the xel naga made the zerg yes the zerg destroy zel naga make hive cluster then the hive gets to big for the overmind himself to control they begin to run amok so overmind makes cerebretes wich only dar templars can trules kill then the zerg are discoverd and the protoss begin battle with them and the terrans find zerg from protoss and the conferdracey tries to tame them and the war begins

The Zerg did not kill all the xel'naga. They came from the planet zerus and they were only larva back then the xel'naga only built them up

NO,NO,NO, ALL WRONG!!!First of all keraghan killed the overmind at the end of the brood war!Second learn to spell.Third the zerg was sort of peaceful till a guy was saying he forsaw a profici that zerg and protoss where supposed to live in peace and thats where overseer took control then they destroyed Zel Naga and made it into a hive cluster.The only thing the protoss thought would settle this was have the templars destroy the zerg and yes this is the future of space travel terran got stuck in2

xel'naga didnt completely create the zerg

the xel'naga left aiur after they made protoss to start a new project

thats when they came upon Zera, the real zerg homeworld, and they started like expirimenting with the zerg. the zerg was originally harmless parasitic things, but the xel'naga gave it the intelligence (overmind and ceres) and the ability to assimilate other species. thats when they did assimilate some stuff, and the overmind broke the mental conection with the xel'naga and (continued)

With Starcraft 2 being out, not everything about the Zerg is as it seems, another force was at play as well. I'm not going to spoil it, but it really changes how you thought of the Zerg and how the 3 races think of eachother.
