Tiger Meet 2011 ~ This is probably the best F-18 display I have ever seen. F-18's don't have vector thrust, but I guess this Swiss pilot didn't get the memo. Flat Spins, Back Flips, Slow Barrel Rolls, Turning on a Dime; This pilot is a master with his skills.
The specific background for this aircraft is an F/A-18C from the Swiss Air Force
thanks much and please subscribe. ~MrAirplanenutz

my dad saw one of these randomly fly over chicago with its afterburners on. wish i had been there.

it looks like it has thrust vectoring because the f/a-18 gives the pilot the advance of being able to point the nose any where he wants faster than any other aircraft out there.

@MrAirplanenutz Yep, I know the point of the video and commented that I like it. There really is no need for thrust vectoring on the Sup Hornet. It has such huge control surfaces that it does, as you said out perform nearly everything out there. If you want to see what it does with a full loadout search it on here. It's funny, as like the Sup Hornet loaded, the F-35 specs are listed assuming an internal load. Its a nice Vid. I gave U the thumb up.

@primolilla the point of this video is this f-18 doing flat spins and back flips, without thrust vectoring. most everything else is normal, but an f-18 isn't suppose to be able to do controlled flat spins. back flips, i can see it, since just stall it out. i do wonder how it would fly if McDonnell Douglas incorporated thrust vector tail assembly. most likely, since it is capable of extreme flight already, well would probably out perform every other aircraft out there except our own with vt.

@MetaliCanuck Yep, I agree. There is actually an Aussie Super Hornet display with a full loadout here on the Tube. I miss the 14's, but the Super Bug has really come into it's own. I like this video too. Anything with burners that pulls G's is worth watching.
