I am all for bringing back the streetcar back to DT LA, but please bring back the retro looking cars. Not these ugly modern looking things.

Funny how Manila tried to follow L.A.'s lead and now suffers from the same transport problems related to urban sprawl. Before WWII Manila's "Tranvia" system of streetcars was the best in Southeast Asia. After the war, with the city blasted to bits, the Tranvia of our grandparents was never revived. Jeepneys and buses ruled the roads, and in some places you can still drive over parts of the old tracks, like ghost lines that go to nowhere.

Street cars huh, does that mean there wont be 40,000,000,000 buses terrorizing motorists on LA's streets anymore?

yes but after the red cars was torn up, their lines was turned into bus routes and others were buried and homes built on them. It would be great to do it, but finding areas to put street car right of ways will be difficult.

Continue the good work. Our city needs the revitalization as we continue to remain positive and move forward more and more people will become interested in visiting our beautiful city. I hope the street cars will run during late nights to connect people to the restaurants, lounges, clubs, and the many other activities added to the downtown area.
