His Name by Sarah Davis

BACKSTORY: This song is not on Dreaming Wide Awake. It is from my musical 'Piece' and is sung by the 17 yr old character.

Carly Jibson was scheduled to sing this song at the Birdland Concert, but had to pull out three days prior due to Walking Pneumonia. The first person I thought of was Sarah Davis, whom had recently portrayed the 17 yr old character at the Village Theatre Festival only a few months prior. Instantly I fell in love with her talents.

She attends the Boston Conservatory and I had hoped she would be in Boston, but alas, she was in Seattle, home for the holidays. I blew off the possibility of her coming and performing at the concert because I really couldn't afford to fly her in, but, her amazing parents (she is only 18) flew her out to be a part of the evening, and she sure made a wonderful impression on the audience.

Sarah Davis is going to be a huge star. Watch out for her.
