This is a good performance, but the swinging style makes it sound too goofy. I prefer the straight forward performances. These pieces have a noble character that the swing destroys. Swing is for Jazz pieces, not ragtime pieces.

Certainly an interesting adaptation! I'd love to listen to it performed for instance by Olivier Latry on the illustrous ND of Paris organ...

The stride-jazz style is absolutely absurd. This is a ragtime piece, and ragtime doesn't swing. You wouldn't take Schubert or Mozart and apply a Brahmsesque schmaltz and rubato, would you? Nor would you play Chopin like it's a Bach prelude. Think about THAT before you support these outlandish activities. That being said, I like this performance... just don't love it.

Joplin didn't swing, but good performance. Well done. In future performances, remove the swing. It's not part of Ragtime. Even early Jazz didn't swing as much as people think. Swing came like at least 20 years after this era, and more, depending on the measuring stick.
