It would be nice for people to sing the songs straight, if I was an unbeliever, I would think, what are they saying. The question is, are you singing to show what you can do or does it really glorify God.

understandable but everyone has a way of expressing themselves i honestly wouldnt do all the runs if i was singing to a crowd of people but i do like some of their technique

some singers felt the spirit by singing in their own style, its in Gods judgement if he is glorified or not, its like praying but not sincere enough.

I always love how the people who can't run well have so much to complain about when they hear someone else do it. Stop hating on their craft. I appreciate someone who can manipulate the different modes of a scale while they are singing. Keep up the good work. And KIM BURRELL didn't invent runs. Stop trying to compare people to her when you hear them do runs. Broaden your perspective and stop being judgemental of these talented singers.
