interesting points about the relation between the base/sexual chakra and the throat chakra. I came here as I have a problem with excess thyroid hormone. I`m not sure of the cause, but I have my suspicions. I beleive it`s down to extreme emotional distress. I don`t really have trouble with emotional expression though. Yes, a few points to `meditate' upon. If I wanted to help heal myself which blue crystal would help, any ideas ? (to work with the chakra )

Located at the base of the throat - this has control of: vocal cords, thyroid, neck, hearing, oesophagus, pharynx and mouth. This chakra is paralleled to the thyroid, a gland that is also in the throat, and which produces thyroid hormone, responsible for growth and maturation. Represents our gateway to consciousness.
