Rene Mandel on his last day of ISR self water rescue class. The class took 5 weeks, 10 minutes a day for 5 days a week. Rene started when he was 6 months old. He is now able to recover from a fall into a pool, turning himself over and floating to and on the surface

  • i get it- i get the reasoning, but it doesn't take a genius to see the stress in the baby's face. doing something in which the baby has no choice but to gasp for breath and float (looking stiff, uncomfortable and probably desperate for the comfort of his mother), just to make a point for a video is blatantly careless. so congratulations on giving this infant a useful skill, but big thumbs down for the lack of compassion.

  • @millatentonsquila Listen-ASSHOLE-we taught our baby how to survive if he fell into a pool.....go ahead and don't do this with your child and if your child drowns you can second guess your stupid decision for the rest of your life......This video is to show people how great this ISR course is. Moronic comments like yours could persuade someone from not putting their child into this course. The baby isn't gaspping for air and now is 4 years old and loves swimming.

  • omg! poor baby..too young to undergo this kind of training. if a parent does not want his or her baby to fall and drown in a pool, why cant they just simply take care of them and watch them closely, instead of torturing them like this??? oh well, no matter what the goal is, this is definitely torture.any baby can easily have aspiration pneumonia because of this kind of training...

  • @tataimkalas YOU ARE A STUPID IDIOT! OF COURSE WE WATCH OUR CHILD ALL THE TIME, BUT SO DO THE HUNDREDS OF PARENTS WHOSE CHILDREN MANAGE TO FIND THE WATER AND DROWNED. THIS IS LIKE GIVING A CHILD A SHOT....THE CHILD DOESN'T LIKE IT, BUT IS SAVES THEIR LIFE. THIS COURSE IS TAUGHT BY A TRAINED INSTRUCTOR WHO CONSTANTLY MONITORS THE BABY. BABIES DO NOT BREATH UNDERWATER INSTINCTIVELY AND NO WATER GOES INTO THE LUNGS AND EVEN IF IF DID IT DOESNT CAUSE PNEUMONIA.

  • @tataimkalas hey you know what was torterous for me as a child? doing my homework. bu guess what I was forced to do i now? I LOVE learning....and I HATED eating my Veggies.. now? I LOVE em.I HATED doing chores. but guess what? it developed a work ethic.... parents do things to teach heir kid how to SURVIVE in life, some things the kid will hate but when they're longer they will love you and appreciate it.

Oh and by the way if you're going to be one of those helicopter parents, don't have kids

  • And to the people saying he looks stressed, well Im sure hes a lot less stressed than someone would be if they couldnt float and were drowning instead.

  • His Head Is Hallow Duh!

  • @Lauryn546 babies instinctively know how to hold their breath under water and if that wasnt so wouldnt he have choked after being flipped?

  • @ljmandel
