Please Support Sat7: Christian satellite television programming for the Middle East

SAT-7 ARABIC provides hope to its millions of viewers by creating and broadcasting life-giving, encouraging, informative Christian TV programming for every member of the family. Around 300 million Arabic speaking peoples live in the Middle East and North Africa, more than half of whom have access to satellite TV.

SAT-7 KIDS is the first and only Arabic Christian channel exclusively for children, making the Gospel of Christ meaningful to a generation that needs to feel God's love -- especially as they mature and take their place in a society where the future is so uncertain.

SAT-7 PARS reaches viewers who seek basic knowledge about Christianity and those who need encouragement in their Christian faith. Iran is a country of 72 million people, more than sixty percent of whom are under thirty.

SAT-7 TÜRK creates and broadcasts Christian programming designed to both help the wider non-Christian audience understand the beliefs and teaching of their neighbors who follow Christ, and also airs many programs designed to help teach, train and encourage the often isolated Christian community within Turkey.

I do believe in being colorblind as far as religion, but I do not support religious intolerance nor do I view the christian religion as the superior religion, these people need to be given an unbiased choice, not between hate and love, but between a variety of equally holy religions. Just because it is not anything approachable does not mean that it is bad, I support tolerance, not extremism. I don't want to force any views on innocent people so I do not support this program, sorry.

There can only be one truth.

The "bad" aspect is not that it is different. Christianity does not ask the world to conform to western culture, but to simply love one another, acknowledge our sinfulness, repent, trust in Jesus' finished work on the cross for our salvation, and promote gospel truth. We can continue to grow long beards, wear colorful clothes, speak our own languages, partake of our own cultural dances, etc... Don't confuse the two so easily.

Christianity is already seen as the "inferior" religion, and an unbiased choice is already provided: Islam, Judaism. Anything but Christianity. You support tolerance? Good. Tell that to those countries where it doesn't exist.

One of my friends basically will have a death warrant on his head if he returns to his home country because he became a convert to Christianity (in his own free will). We're not just dealing with ideas or philosophies here, it's life or death stuff.
