WOW i love your passion for Natural Hair, I am a freshmen in college and Im hoping during Sophmore year I can establish a natural hair club. PPL think am insane but i feel that its necessary because where I go to school in Jamaica Queens there are plenty locs, sister locs, cornrows, fros of all sizes different coil patterns =) both men and women.

Your crowning feature, your beauty, your strength your hair. Love it, don't lye it!

Thank you for this video!!
I am a teacher as well and there are not a lot of curly heads in here.I'm the only black teacher in a school of about 2000 students and it's a huge high school. Sometimes I see a bad weave or a head of heair that just needs moisture.... and in my internships in elementary schools, I used to seeing bad relaxers on little girls as well.
Knowledge is power, this is one of my life principles. It is just so hard not to run to those girls and talk to them..... so hard!!

I totally agree! Let's redefine standard beauty! The children are our future!

I feel u on that . My daughter's scalp is soooo tender and everyday it's a battle . I'm two steps away from a relaxer with her . I'm sooo stressed......

I have learned in the past year that I perm, go natural, were weaves, color my hair, because I like different things. My daughter hair is natural and I also put weaves in her hair. (Even though her hair is long.) And if one day she want to perm, color, go bald, she will always be beautiful. We are not our hair. And how we do our exterior will not define our interior. To each it's own.

Thank you for this! This is the reason why I went natural (two weeks ago). I am 23 weeks pregnant with our first girl and I want her to know that her natural hair is beautiful. So I decided to model that myself so I can be a great example for my baby. I can't wait to go on this journey together with my baby girl - due May 9th!

I believe there are more black women sporting the natural look than ever before. Big Up to Lauryn Hill, Jill Scott and Angie stone for lighting the way in the late 90s for me. So I am confident that in the next two generations black women with natural hair will be the majority and the media will follow suit because we as parents wouldve taught our daughters by simply being an example to them.
I think some of us are getting it. I damaged my babies hair when she was 5 (gasp!!!) . Now she is 11. and we went back to the natural hair when she was 8. So I had to repent to her and re instill in her that her kinky coily hair is beautiful.

I agree, I just dont understand why we(Black Women) can't see that our hair is beautiful! Our hair makes us unique because we are the only people with this texture of hair! We need to embrace each other! Thank u for posting this video!
