Generally the use of music in super mario galaxy is perhaps the best I have ever experienced in a videogame. The way freezeflame has two parts of semi identical music, one for the ice- and one for fire part of the galaxy. Or in battlerock where the music feels secluded and spacelike when you start on the ufo's orbitting the planet, and then gets more orchestral and starwars-like when you get closer to the planet. Amazing!
If anyony know how to get this gateway theme on file it would be awesome.

I think this is really lovely music. Super Mario Galaxy is one of the two Mario games I will actually play and enjoy. It really makes you think of having just woken up somewhere completely safe and far away. Love it!

Months later, and I am still obsessed with all the SMG music. I loved going underwater in the Beach Bowl Galaxy and hearing the change... I think I'll go play it now! :)

This is just beautiful. It just shows how magical Super Mario Galaxy really is. Super Mario Galaxy 2 looks nowhere near as beautiful, magical and atmospheric. If this part of the galaxy was heaven, I'd gladly accept it.
