It's gorgeous outside, so I got a cravin' for a lil sangria wine.

Here's the recipe:

(For an alcohol-free version, substitute nonalcoholic wine for the white wine.)

2 fresh peaches peeled and sliced or 2 cups frozed unsweetened peach slices, thawed.
1 cup sliced strawberries or frozen unsweeted whole strawberries, thawed.
1 orange, halved and thinly sliced.
1 lemon or lime, sliced.
1, one-litre bottle of club soda, chilled.
2 cups of dry white wine, chilled.
1/2 cup of orange juice, chilled.
1/2 cup of cranberry juice cocktail, chilled.

In a large punch bowl, layer all the fruit.
Pour club soda over fruit; add wine, orange juice, and cranberry juice cocktail.
Stir gently to combine.

To serve:
Ladle some of the fruit into glasses. Ladle wine mixture over fruit.

Makes 14 (6-ounce) servings. Or if you're Michael and myself, it makes two servings.

  • I always use three bottles of wine because I want my 15 dollars of fruit to last. This stuff always puts me to sleep too. LOL

  • Thumbs up if you just wanted to listen to this amazing song

  • Dont put too much lemon/lime in if you are going to leave it over night. It makes the drink really bitter.

  • What the heck! Nobody got a JJW video they wanna post for this song? Who is this? Rachael Ray?

  • In Spain probably killed you.... what the hell !! RED WINE !!

  • Strawberries are a nice addition from the traditional. Cheers, and have a great summer ;)

  • The definitive Sangria wine from the early 70's was a gallon of cheap burgandy or Cella Lambrusco (the green screw top bottle) , a quart or 2 of 7up, poured over cut up oranges, limes, and any other fruit that happened to be cheap at the time.

This was usually enjoyed in the back yard of our fellow hippie friends while listening to or playing music or both depending on how much of it you drank. Of course, a little smoke was usually wafting around too.

  • I will try this in the non alcoholic version, thanks looks good.
