Student travel encompasses far more than initially meets the eye. Through hand on experience of that which one could only otherwise read about in a textbook we, as students, are able to actually live history instead of just accepting it. Given my situation, I have never traveled outside the country, so student travel also rings in an exciting opportunity to broaden my horizons both as a global citizen and an active participant in my community. I sincerely believe that travel is the sole way to become fully cognizant of the world around us, and I submit my application with great excitement and look forward to the coming weeks!
