@AlexPittEdu Look at the German manufacturers there are and try to repeat what you said. I have an '86 Porsche and it's built like a tank. Yeah, repairs are expensive, but they're few and far between (Knock on wood). German autos have to be some of the best that money can buy. That's like saying "I'm never gonna buy an Italian (Lambo Ferrari Maserati) cuz I pay an arm and a leg for repairs, they suck!" Believe it or not, you get quality with BMW. Take care of them though!
@AlexPittEdu dude i have a 2002 330xi tryna sell it for 11 and i have the same problems as you, im debating buying a 2004 330ci manual trans or 2006 x3 manual trans
Not to mention the cooling system failed and my engine was about to explode in 2006. There was some kind of a clog. There were more problems. I live in a shitty city (pittsburgh) where there are more potholes than cars, so it makes sense that some of these problems happened, but still doesn't make it ok for a car that costs 40,000 to have these many problems.
All in all, if you have money to waste, I guess buy a BMW... but you will have to spend a lot of money in repairs, and I mean A LOT!
Where to start... I can't even remember all the problems I have cause I've had it for 5 years now (I bought it used at 33,000 miles in 2005). One issue that persisted even after getting "fixed" was the windsheild wipers stop working in heavy rain when set on Automatic wipe mode. The other recent problems were engline oil leaks all over the place. The radiator cracked for no reason and cost 1,500 to replace. The steering column died on me last month and was replaced (more thousands).
Yah I own a 330 ci. Nothing but problems. Whoever you sold that to is now pulling his hair out. The biggest scam and biggest piece of shit car out there. Never gonna buy German again
is it a v6?
