He reminds me sooo much of nabokov
He has "nitty" like "nabby" on his mask and hes only 10 numbers up from nabbys and the way he plays in net is like calm/collected like nabby i think

all we need is a decent goalie who will be consistent even in the postseason. consistency in the post season was the only thing nabby lacked. i hope niitymaki will be a good fit. without blake it will be interesting to see what the d lines are.

@GarrettSteel we didn't sign Nitty to compete - he is the heir to Nabby's throne and that is no question. We signed Nitty as the undisputed #1 goalie, but whether or not Todd chooses to have a 1a/1b situation with Nitty & Greiss remains to be seen. The only competing done in SJ's net will be between Stalock & Greiss, and even then it is highly unlikely Stalock beats out Grease Lightning

The Sharks have a great goalie. If he can have a .909 Sv % with tampas defense. Imagine what he can do with San Jose defense. Good move by san jose.

I pulled his career stats and skimmed over them and compared them to the team's overall stats and from what I can tell he's gotten better in the last few years. Also he goes as the team goes it seems. Hard to get a accurate ascertation of how he plays from numbers on a page, but like Charger said, if he can post those kinds of numbers in TB he should do a lot better here in SJ. He's a fundamentally sound goalie who reacts well to the puck. I like the pick up and am looking forward to September!
