So I have decided to LP Super Mario Land (with VBA GX to help me out on that). Why? Because I wanted to show that SML1 and SML2 aren't overly hard. I beat BOTH games around the age of 10, and I know it was around that age because I had both of those games before I lent them along with all of the Game Boy games I had at the time, my Super Game Boy, and a few SNES games including Super Mario All-Stars to some kids, who betrayed my trust by not returning ANY of them. I was actually skeptical when I had lent the games, but I figured they would do that. Boy did I know still too little of the Complete Monsters that happens to be the Hyphy Movement, the San Francisco Bay Area residents who prove that it doesn't deserve to be called the "Yay Area", the shallow girls who would say "wanna suck my pee" just to mock me, and the Oakland rioters.

*sigh* Anyway, I'm playing using the Wiichucks FTW. And about the game, as it turns out, it has rather clumsy controls, and this isn't specifically the result of Super Mario Land being a GB game that gives you only the A and B buttons and the D-Pad for movement, but it messes with me a few times throughout the LP. The hit detection is primitive too; I actually got assisted by it by bopping an enemy right at the start of a jump TWICE. However, it can be bothersome sometimes. It's not the stupidest in any game by far, but compare it to the original SMB and you can guess which wins out. Still, SML isn't bad. Just a little easy partly because of how many points act as checkpoints.

Stages:
*1-1 - your basic beginner's stage. Not really much to say, though I missed the Super Star--which isn't a big deal because the combo value resets too quickly anyway, so you can hardly expect to get a 1-Up from killing enough enemies.
*1-2 - again, not too hard, but if you're not careful, you will slip off into the abyss and die, as I did by messing up a jump attack.
*1-3 - again, not overly difficult. I don't even die here. Though I do get hit and end up having to fight the boss, a Bowser wannabe, as small Mario. Luckily, I get past him and win the day. Unfortunately, my princess is in another castle.
