Pete Rose belongs in the Hall of Fame..all the records, and everything Mr Rose accomplished on the field was all done 100% legitimate,..unlike todays players who are breaking records left and right illegally, and immorally, and without any merritt or regard for the games legitimacy......Mr Rose has already paid all his dues for what he did, he has done his time, he has paid all his fees and penalty's, and he has had his name dragged through the mudd waaay to long!!....enough already!!..love him or not,... he played the game of baseball the way it is suppose to be played each and everyday he took the field... If every player today played with just HALF!! the effort as Mr Rose did, the games today would be a heck of a lot MORE EXCITING!! to watch and attend....Pete Rose is Baseball!!!!....

What Pete Rose did on the field can't be erased for a simple mistake, he gave his heart in every game he played and whatever he did wrong, he payed it good.

He should be in the Hall of Fame.

How about Barry Bonds, Mark McGuire, Sammy Sosa, Roger Clemens for cheaters?

God, betting on baseball is such small potatoes considering all our hitters now days are scumbags. Please explain why Manny Ramirez has a legitimate shot at playing again, and why Mark Mcguire is allowed to coach and he wasn't handed out a ban. It's really simple, If Selig were to do that the league wouldn't make any money. Selig is honestly garbage for not lifting this ban during his years as commissioner, which were the worst for cheating IMHO.

I agree, you can't say that Rose's actions enhanced the way he played and it would be ridiculous to say that his actions made him play worse. 20 years shunned by the MLB is far too long for anyone.

I agree, Pete Rose has earned his place in the HOF.  It's a travesty that he hasn't been let in there yet.
