WW1 Airco DH2 at Wickenby Airfield

The UK's only flying DH2 aircraft belongs to a private collector and is kept at Wickenby Airfield near Lincoln. @lacone3615 The fuel tank is in the fuselage, between the cockpit and the engine, and apparently holds enough for about 2 1/2 hours of flying/

Thanks for the video. Just one question. Where is the fuel tank located? In old photos that I have seen, the fuel tank was located on the top wing.

@lacone3615 The fuel tank is situated right behind the pilots seat, inside the Nacelle. Just producing a DVD about the DH2 at the moment - and we have some wonderful stripped down DH2 photographs in it. Watch out for more details!

Oh my God this is SO FANTASTIC! It worth the while waiting a year or more to see this, I've had my jaw dropped all these 4 minutes, it's simply astounding and beautiful, I just get the goosebumps thinking that nearly 100 years ago, this beautiful piece or early aerial machinery would engage into mortal dogfights, THANK YOU for posting this!

O.K, fuselage, wings, yes, BUT engine is not oryginal. It is veeeryyy pity, because originale rotating engines with"cilindritis" will show as, HOW plains like this are flaying - real. Otherwise, VERYY VERY GOOOD JOB, Gentelmans. Great to see this old daddy in the air again! Bravo!!!
