Great match, but IMHO, the greatest match at the Australian Open was in 2005 when Safin beat Federer in his prime, and ending Federer's 26 match winning streak 9-7 in the 5th in the Semis!

@chillende Federer also played better then Nadal in the final but Nadal was mentally stronger and in the 5 set and Federer folded....

this was nadal's best tournament performance ever playing 2 5 sets backtoback and beating Federer in the final Federer played better tennis in the final but nadal mentally stronger held in there in the 5th set!!!

Verdascos tennis strokes looks the best out of all left handers. Nadals strokes are quite awkward actually.
This match was better than the final. I mean, it's gotta be up there with some of the best matches ever!
