Although I've heard and listened to this song before I couldn't stop shivering. The forcefulness of the lyrics completely addresses the most destructive nature of prejudice. The constant question that comes to mind : How is it that a human being is capable of developing so much hated for another human being who's only difference is ones skin color?

Actually a white Jew Wrote it "Abel Meeropol" and it was originally a poem he wrote. He then later convinced Billie Holiday to sing it as a song.
This song is so strongly visual... listening to it automatically evocates images, dark and painful images >.<...
