In this tutorial I show you how you can create your own scroller, to scroll through images, text or video. All done simply in X4.

If you would like to see a tutorial of anything from MS Word, MS Excel, MS Acces, MS PowerPoint, MS OneNote, Serif WebPlus X2/X4, Serif MoviePlus X3 post it in the comments.

Code:
function call:
pageScroll4()

Attach HTML code:
# script type="text/javascript" ##
function pageScroll4() { window.scroll(1372.1,0); // horizontal and vertical scroll targets }
#/script##

NOTE: Replace the # with a "less than sign"
Replace ## with a "greater than sign"
Can't use the signs here in the description.

  • I am not sure why, but I can't input any code in the attach html. Any suggestions?

  • @embraydesign Are you putting the code into the white space, it won't allow yo uto put it anywhere else.

  • WOW...this is driving me nuts, i am following your vid click for click but its not working,,,SURELY there must be an easier way to get an image scroller ?

  • @Deadlybrit This is the easy way, the normal way usually involves getting 3rd party scripts and modifying the code and uploadin, etc, etc. message me with detail on exactly what is not working or what yo have done so far.

  • Ok thanks for your help, but THE CODES?...do i have to download stuff?, isn't there an easier way to write the codes in? I haven't the first clue about HTML code.

  • @Deadlybrit You can copy the code from above, its the area just beneath the video,s you may have to click the down arrow (beneath the video views) to expoand the area if you can't see the codes.

    The download is just the complete file that you can look at.

  • I got it pasted in finally. However, I am having issues with the button working. I followed the instructions of saving as an image, going to button image, naming it and then attaching the html. I am trying to build my portfolio to act as an ipad. So I would love to get this to work...

  • Could you upload a Tutorial for SMOOTH SCROLLING WEBPLUS X5.

    Thank You.
