Q: What are some of your artist influences?

A: All music I hear influences me. I tend to like particular songs as opposed to a particular artist. An artists can let you down, but a song, "is what it is" from conception. I could give you a Santa Claus list of artist I like a lot. Producers tend to influence me more than the artist themselves. Sir George Martin, Phil Spector, Jeff Lynn, Mutt Lang, Quincy Jones....I could go on. Lately I have been listening to a lot of late 70's New Wave and obscure early 1900's blues recordings.I advise anyone to check out the early blues from the 1920's. Tommie Bradley rocks...for the 1920's that is. I am always exploring my boundaries as a songwriter. Mainly, because I have such a strange life and have been down some strange roads. It makes for interesting writing I suppose. Ha Ha.
