It was a shame Greg Cook got hurt and the medical techology wasn't there because been a Hall of Famer (he had the same injury Drew Brees had). Then again it seems if you're a first round pick for the Bengals more than likely, you're screwed. At least he had a good Year unlike three other QB on this list and Cook should have been selected to the Pro Bowl had year. RIP Greg Cook.

@clipobserver I say Bengals. Lions had Barry Sanders (1989) as well as some really good players back in the 50's.

The 1969 draft pick, Greg Cook, was something else. Bill Walsh called him the most gifted quarterback that he ever saw. Said that Cook had the potential to be the greatest QB ever. Cook averaged 17.5 yards a completion that season, and no NFL QB has equaled that mark since.
