there's a lot of good tracks from the 60's and 70's when you dig around past the mainstream stuff but, this is definitely one of the best of them!

Great tune, very funky and soulful. First heard it in the 1980s when I was living in L.A. and it was played on KRTH FM for the station's "turkey" line-up (it was Thanksgiving). But this isn't a turkey at all! It's quite a keeper, even if it wasn't a big chart topper. This sort of groove defined the mid-1960s.
