Carleroy~You are rigth that he did kill himself and a big part of the problem was that he was still recording song but would get NO airplay at al just liek Ray Price, Merle Haggrd, But Carl, Waylon anyone that was OVER 40 years old ~With VERY few Exceptions got any airplay on FM Radio ~Eevry FM Station is now Told WAHT to Paly and hown MANY Times~The people no longer have a say at all~Thats why you hear such CRAP TODAY called "Country ~IT really Got to Faron and was a Reason he Took his Life

was depressed from what I've heard, killed himself.

Faron Young was my first love when I was about 5yrs old. I can still remember watching him and Carl Smith on the Grand Ole Opry in the 1950's on our very first television.
