This is what the three meals in a day would sound like. The ensemble is divided into three parts representing the three meals for the day! Breakfast, lunch and dinner. See which meal suites your fancy!

Instrumentation: 2 xylophones, 2 marimbas, and 2 vibrophones.

I used Sibelius 5 and Virtual Drumline 2.5.

  • are you in any pit?

  • @garrettwarz,

I played in pit in The Cascades in 2009. But no, not anymore.

  • I'm a quad player but still even I know a well written mallet ensemble when I see/hear one. Great job.

  • @twhlah1,

    Thank you!

  • Tip of the hat, and wag of the finger to you good sir. The wwhole idea of the piece is VERY well thought out. I'm a mallet player, and to me this is great. Maybe not to the idiots that disliked it, but good job.

  • @lij2015,

    Thanks!

Is it possible that you could make both marimba parts into a full staff rather then just treble clef?

  • Interesting musical perspective... I never think of A minor as being a "breakfast" key. That's the wonderful thing about sharing music: You discover people's different perspectives of different aspects of life through the music they create. :)

  • You my friend, is the greatest person alive when it comes to writing percussion pieces
