Just got off of work and was kinda rushing to get home, but stopped just to see how these pipes sounded at "the bridge".
For those who have to ask.
The pipes are a set of Mideast antique chalice style pipes. I think they are made out of rosewood .. I dunno. The drone reeds are balance tones.
The chanter is the original chanter that came with the pipes, yes it is pitched low, and yes .. i know the top hand is wonky.
I'm still learning to manipulate reeds, but I tried to fix G and F by shortening the reed a little bit .. which worked great, but the reed was significantly harder, and when I shaved the reed to ease it, my knife chipped a big chunk out of the reed and killed it.. That's piping.

  • I love the overall-sound of your chanter. Very rare to hear nowadays. Very nice!

  • @Dastirum Thank you very much !!! The hardest part is working in a reed that works with both the top hand and bottom hand.
