A Justena Story: Caught up in Lies

Saturday - 8:00 p.m. :




Sel's P.O.V:
I was sitting in my bedroom with my best friend Demi when I heard my mom call my name.
Sel: "Yes Mom!"
SM: "can you come down here for a second, sweetie? I need to talk to you"
S: "Ok coming" I looked at demi and said "I'll be right back"
D: "yeah go ahead"
I ran downstairs and walked into the kitchen where I found my mom sitting on a chair near the counter looking down and sighing.
S:"What's wrong mom?"
SM: "Honey, remember when I told you I was going to apply for that job a few blocks away?"
S: "yeah, Why?"
SM: "Well, I got the job."
S; "THAT'S GREAT!"
SM: "Yeah but there's one problem"
S: "Ok what is it?"
SM: " The job turned out to be in Canada."
My smile faded away and my eyes started getting watery, I knew exactly what was gonna happen. I took a deep breath and slowly said "When are we leaving?"
SM: "Tomorrow morning, I'm sorry honey but they want me there by Monday."
I bursted into tears, my mom got up and hugged me "It's gonna be alright, why don't you go and tell demi since she's already here?"
I nodded my head as I wiped my tears. I went to my room and found demi lying down on my bed curling her glossy curls with her fingers. She looked at me and smiled, her smile faded away as she noticed my puffy red eyes and got up to hug me.
D: "what's wrong sel?"
I took a deep breath and said, "demi..i-i'm moving"
D: "What?Why?"
S: "My mom got a new job in Canada."
D: "when are you leaving?"
S: "tomorrow morning"
D: "what so soon?" tears ran down her cheeks. "Well, how about I stay here and for the night so i can say bye to you tomorrow morning?"
S: "Sure , thx
The next day at the airport-
Sel's pov:
S: "bye demz I'm gonna miss u" I said with tears streaming down my face
D: "I'm gonna miss u 2, promise me that u'll call or text me everyday"
S: "ofcourse I will!" I forced a smile and gave her one last hug and walked away with my mom.
I got on the plane and rested my head against the window, as the plane took off. I shed one last tear and closed my eyes hoping I'd get some sleep.
