Actually.. I think Tom has bought Ellison's hair for five million dollars and glued it on himself.
..Wouldn't surprise me.

Ellison speaks, man strokes moustache.

He looks like Tom Cruise.

@CDBBryan It cannot be sooner than September of 1969, because Ellison mentions that Shirley Temple is currently the the U.S. Ambassador to the U.N, and she served from September-December of that year. (It might be later, obviously).

The guy in the cover of Jack Barron's book looks like guy holding the book!

Ah, "scratch a cynic and you'll find a disappointed idealist." I just got finished listening to Harlan ranting on and on in Dark Dreamers parts 1,2 and 3, and I was wondering where all that bile came from.
Now I know that it arises from the ashes of his shattered youthful dreams.

Ole Harlan could use some vervain to help propel his writing career. Like cursed hebanon in the ears of those who'll listen!

I'd guess this interview was done closer to 1967 than 1972, likely just after the release of DANGEROUS VISIONS(1967), as Ellison is constantly pushing the phrase "speculative fiction", and that was the premise of the book, advancing bold allegorical visions of the future in stories too cerebral or too controversial to be published elsewhere.
Ellison, in mid/late 60's hippie fashion overuses the word "man", and only sounds like himself in the latter half of the video, when answering questions.

An amazing speaker, and an early appearance of Harry Potter and Hagrid at 1:33!
Thanks for the vid. Nice to see Harlan before his screaming days, back when he was still a hippy. ;-)
