I just find it AMAZING how people claim the high road to revelation as a strategy for talking about the issues surrounding Osteen, and then go about exposing themselves as the opposite of who they claim to be. What is very sad in the church today is the culture of dishonor, and I will admit it is very difficult to honor those given to dishonor. People, please talk objectively here about the issues and try to refrain from enthroning yourself as God who knows the hearts of people.

No Man can Come to Jesus by hearing men talk bible.Thats NOT Preaching its Parroting the bible and its dead.These men teach from their lord whos NOT Jesus but another.Only by The Spirit can you know these from the True.Get alone w/Jesus and shut yourself in w/Him.Stop particapating in dead religion you finance.Your as guilty as these frauds if you do.Trust Jesus to reveal Himself to you IF you truly wana Know Him.If not, just keep playing church w/these pretenders.Jesus is able, ask Him.

Why do otherwise intelligent adults flock to these motivational speakers who both claim to be represenitives of God so totally delude these people? Jesus did NOT Teach Prosrerity or positive energy.Neither did Jesus teach or suggest that we would be given bibles to know who Jesus is.Jesus cant be "known" apart from devine revelation of Him by The Spirit of Truth. and Yes, thats in your bible.What you Need is a relationship w/Jesus, not knowledge of the bible.Todays"Church"aint Church.

@Rotorcop12a Well, cool. I apologize for misunderstanding you. I dont follow Osteen much, but I do believe he is grounded in the GOODNESS of God, which I believe to be the main cause of persecution toward him. There is a growing division in the church today centered entirely on the GOODNESS of God. It is really ironic how people like Washer see persecution as affirmation and then go and persecute people like Osteen. Cherio.

@demoinwa Joel Osteen will be attacked because he has the largest church in the US. I like Joel and our church is connected with his. Joel will be here Feb. 3 in Hawaii. I have looked into many accusations about Joel but all are baseless as far as I am concerned. Many would disagree with me but the only judge that matters is the Lord. Everyone should worry about themselves and follow after the Holy Spirit.

@Rotorcop12a Okay, I thought you were siding with the person I have been going on with, commending him for seeing into my my greedy heart like Jesus saw through the rich young ruler. Debating an issue is one thing, but imputing heart motives is quite another, including a claim to know what is in Osteen's heart. Why do you think he is so adamant about not judging hearts? I would guess it has to do with the flack he gets, most of it pure crap, from well-meaning people like yourself.

@TheRealChikezie I agree with you re. Osteen, but am talking about Washer's words. He says v. dramatically that the Gospel isn't acceptable to carnal man, & contradicts man's beliefs, so people prop it up & adapt it to culture to make it more palatable. True, & Gospel contents shouldn't be changed, but Paul didn't aggressively insult people when he introduced the Gospel everyday in Athens, & missionaries to other cultures don't either - they learn how to not offend them - Col.4:6.
